    Project Information:

Cost $69,458 USD, ($90,000 CND). Raised $48,000 USD ($69,500 CND)

Tania Center has had the support of others in Kenya, Canada and in the USA to expand the center’s self sufficiency. A farmer in Kenya donated the land for the center and fields to grow crops for the provision of food.

Groups in the USA have provided the funds and assistance to install a water bore hole and irrigation to meet the dry period concerns and a church group in Ontario sponsored the construction of greenhouses all of which has made the center basically self sufficient in food supply.

The largest ongoing cost for the operation of the center is the cost and supply of electricity from KenGen the owner of the electrical supply grid.

The installation of a solar generation array will remove that cost and make the supply of electricity and fresh water from the water well consistent and reliable.
